Overview

Leo Baeck College has an extensive academic Jewish studies library which gives students access to around 60,000 volumes including rare, centuries-old books. The collection includestraditional and modern Bible commentaries as well as books covering all areas relevant to studies at the College from Jewish liturgy to interfaith dialogue.

Besides the Library’s primary purpose of serving our rabbinic students, it is also open to anyone interested in academic Jewish studies.

To make the full use of the College library and its electronic resources and to be able to borrow books, you will need to become a member of the library. The annual membership fee is £40.

Library opening hours

Monday to Thursday 10 am to 5.00 pm
Friday 10 am to 1.00 pm

Please note that the Library is closed during the months of July and August and the last week in December.

Three books at the time may be borrowed for a period of three weeks. During the 4th week you will be sent a reminder. If the book(s) is(are) not returned or renewed in that week, you will incur a fine of £1 per week or part of the week.
