We invite you to explore spirituality, ‘The intimate side of organised religion’ according to Harold Kushner. But what is spirituality?

Spirituality can involve nurturing the human capacity to develop one’s personal understanding of God; to seek out truth and purpose; to discover meaning in personal and communal prayer; to develop relationship with one’s deepest and most authentic self and with others; to find strength and hope and maintain balance in the face of challenges.

Is it a Jewish concept? Does it have to involve God? If so what does each of us understand by the term God? If not, do we base our communities on humanistic values such as love, concern for others or even a view that we are all part of one
inter-dependant world?

How do we both advance with our own personal and communal spiritual journeys and guide our children and students in theirs?
