Dr Annette M. Boeckler is librarian of the Leo Baeck College and lecturer for Bible & Jewish Liturgy. Her scientific areas are Jewish Liturgy and the Bible and her studies cover themes such as Bible literature, interpretation-history of the Bible, the development and structure of the Jewish Liturgy, and Theology of the Prayer book. Before she joined the Leo Baeck College she was a member of the teaching staff at the Hochschule für Jüdische Studien at Heidelberg. She was instrumental in establishing the library of Abraham Geiger College in Potsdam and has been actively involved in Progressive Judaism in Germany. She has translated the liturgy of the British Reform Movement into German which is now the standard liturgy of the German Reform Movement.
