LEO BAECK COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF JEWISH EDUCATION
We require maternity cover for our Early Years Education Consultant
while she is on Maternity Leave for 6 months from early April. Leo Baeck
College is the premier centre for Progressive Jewish learning and its
Department of Jewish Education provides training, support and
consultancy for Jewish Educators, aspiring teachers and Early Years
Practitioners working in Jewish Progressive communities.
The successful applicant will be required to work for 9 hours a
week as part of the Department of Jewish Education team. The applicant
should have some experience of working in an educational environment,
preferably in Early Years education, but this is not essential.
Additional skills include being very organised, creative, a good
communicator and having a good knowledge of IT.
We have an IN Service Training Day (INSET) planned for early June and
one of the first tasks would be to help lead this event with the
support of the Department. Other tasks include liaising with
Kindergarten head teachers, leading a forum for these Head Teachers as
well as providing resources and support as required. There may be
occasional visits to Early Years settings during working hours.
