Communities and Religion Schools

We provide a range of services to communities and religion schools including family education programmes, support for teachers and head teachers, conferences and consultation.

 Early Years

We provide consultation and support for head teachers with regular head teachers’ and Nitzanim meetings as well as training seminars, the Story Garden Project and  the opportunity for NVQ Accreditation.

GCSE

We serve as an examination centre for GCSE, AS/A Level in Jewish Studies and modern Hebrew examinations for the OCR and AQA exam boards.  We provide advice on setting up the study course.  An annual training day seminar takes place for GCSE teachers and revision days for students taking the exams.

What is Kesher? 

Kesher (Hebrew for connections) is the outreach department of the DJE. We provide information on all aspects of Judaism to those teaching about Judaism to non-Jewish pupils of all ages and abilities in schools, synagogues and other organisations.
